In the aftermath of recent high profile terrorist attacks, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Monday called for a “complete and total ban” against Muslims entering the United States.
In a statement sent to reporters, Trump said the U.S. cannot “be the victims of horrendous attacks.”

Trump draws fire from other Republicans
It didn’t take long for GOP candidates – and many others – to reject Trump’s call for Muslims to be denied entry into the U.S.
Democrats also joined in condemning Trump.
“This is reprehensible, prejudiced and divisive,” said Hillary Clinton of Trump’s call to stop Muslims from entering the U.S.
“There was a time when I found Donald Trump fun to watch,” said Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI). “This isn’t fun anymore. It’s dangerous.”
